Insurance Coverage
CCA includes insurance coverage with every paid grading submission based on the selected service level.
Insurance coverage is designed to help protect eligible submissions while they are being processed by CCA and during applicable return shipment. Customers may also purchase additional insurance coverage for higher-value cards or submissions.
Included Insurance by Service Level
Bulk Submission
Includes up to $100 insurance coverage per card.
Standard
Includes up to $250 insurance coverage per card.
Express
Includes up to $500 insurance coverage per card.
Walk-Through
Includes up to $1,500 insurance coverage per card.
Additional Insurance
Additional insurance coverage may be purchased for higher-value cards or submissions.
The cost of additional insurance is shown during checkout and may vary based on the total declared value, coverage amount, service level, and current insurance rates. At the time of this article it is $5 per additional $100.
Additional insurance pricing is subject to change.
Declared Value
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate declared value for each card or submission.
Declared value helps determine the appropriate insurance coverage needed for the order. This value may also be used to determine whether additional coverage is required before the submission can continue.
Additional Coverage Review
If CCA determines that the declared or estimated value of a card or submission exceeds the included insurance coverage, additional insurance may be required.
In this situation, CCA may add an additional charge to the submission for the required coverage amount.
The customer must authorize and complete any required additional insurance payment before the submission continues or before the order is released for return shipment.
Under-Declared Values
CCA may review declared values when a card appears to be significantly under-declared.
If the declared value does not appear to match the card’s estimated market value, CCA may request an updated declared value or require additional insurance coverage.
This helps ensure the submission is properly protected.
Insurance Limits
Insurance coverage is limited to the amount included with the selected service level or the amount of additional insurance purchased and approved.
CCA is not responsible for values above the insured amount selected or required for the submission.
Shipping Carrier Claims
If an insured package is lost or damaged during transit, CCA will assist with the claims process when possible.
Carrier claim decisions, timelines, and reimbursement approvals may be subject to the shipping carrier’s policies, documentation requirements, and investigation process.
Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for safely packaging their cards before sending them to CCA.
Insurance coverage may not apply to damage caused by poor packaging, improper shipment preparation, inaccurate declared values, or carrier exclusions.
Policy Changes
Insurance coverage amounts, rates, requirements, and claim procedures may change over time.
The insurance options shown during checkout or provided by CCA support at the time of submission will apply to the order.
