Four subgrades. One overall grade.
Every card is evaluated across four areas: centering, corners, edges and surface. CCA uses detailed condition standards, high-resolution imaging, technology-assisted measurements and professional review to determine the overall grade, and publishes all four subgrades on the certification record.

Centering
The alignment of the printed design in relation to the borders, horizontally and vertically, on the front and back.

Corners
All four corners, for sharpness, whitening, rounding, dings and other signs of manufacturing defects or physical wear.

Edges
Chipping, fraying, silvering, rough cuts, whitening and other visible imperfections along every edge.

Surface
Scratches, print lines, indentations, stains, gloss and other defects on the front and back that affect condition and eye appeal.

From preparing your submission to receiving your graded cards, CCA makes the process straightforward.

Create your submission
Sign in or create a free account, add your cards from our searchable catalog, enter their declared values, and select your preferred grading service level.
- 02
Prepare and ship your cards
Place each card in a protective sleeve and semi-rigid card holder. Follow our packing instructions, include your submission packing slip, and ship your cards securely to CCA.
- 03
Authentication, grading and return
Once your cards arrive, we document your submission, review each card for authenticity, evaluate its condition, and encapsulate eligible cards. Your grades and certification details appear in your account, and your cards are prepared for insured return shipping after payment.

With CCA Consignment, eligible CCA graded cards are listed for sale on eBay without you managing the listing, buyer communication, packaging or shipping. Choose to consign eligible cards during your grading submission, or submit previously graded CCA slabs for consignment.
