Most collectors have the same problem: a stack of good cards, and no time to photograph, list, answer buyers, pack, insure and ship each one. That is exactly what CCA consignment is for. You send us your Pokémon or sports cards, we grade them, and when you flip one switch, we list them on eBay, handle every buyer and ship every sale. You set the price. We do the work. You get paid.
This guide covers how consignment with CCA works for Pokémon cards and sports cards (baseball, basketball, football, UFC and more), what it costs at today’s rates, what our consigned cards have actually sold for so far, and a look at CCA-graded cards listed right now.
What is card consignment?
Card consignment means a company sells your cards on your behalf and pays you the proceeds minus a commission. You keep ownership until the card sells. The consignor (us) takes on the listing, photography, customer questions, shipping and payment handling that make selling one card at a time so slow.
Most consignment services only take cards that are already graded. CCA is a grading company too, which means you can go from a raw card to a sold slab in one order, without the card ever coming back to your house in between.
Two ways to consign with CCA
1. Grade and sell in one submission (nothing to mail twice)
- Toggle it on, card by card. When you build a new grading submission, flip “Sell with CCA on eBay” on any card you want sold. There is nothing extra to fill out.
- We grade and encapsulate. Your card goes through grading as normal. It simply never leaves our facility afterward.
- Pay and reveal your grades. Once your order is paid and you have done your Grade Reveal, the card is queued for listing.
- Set your prices. On My Consignments, choose Auction (with a starting price) or Buy It Now for each card. We list with your exact settings.
Already submitted and your order has not shipped back yet? You can still consign any graded card from your submission page, in-house, with nothing to mail.
2. Mail in CCA slabs from your collection
- Add your certs. On My Consignments, choose “Add Cards” and select from your CCA-graded certs.
- Set sale settings. Pick Auction or Buy It Now and price each card. You can edit them any time until the card is listed.
- Create a shipment. Declare which cards are in the box, print the consignment form for the inside and the label for the outside.
- Mail it in. Once it arrives, we verify every slab and list your cards with your settings.

What CCA handles for you
- The listing. Professional front and back slab scans, a title and item specifics built from the card’s database entry, and a link to the card’s public CCA certificate so buyers can verify the grade themselves.
- The buyers. Questions, offers and payment. On Buy It Now listings, offers show up in your dashboard and you decide whether to accept.
- The shipping. We pack, insure and ship every sale on a tracked label.
- The paperwork. Every listing, bid, watcher count, sale and payout is itemized on your dashboard in real time.
- The storefront. Every consigned card also appears on the CCA Marketplace, where collectors can browse CCA-graded Pokémon and sports cards and check out on eBay.
What consignment costs
Our commission is made of two parts, and both are tiered so the percentage falls as the sale price rises:
- eBay’s selling fee on the card (13.25% on the first $7,500, 2.35% above that), passed through at cost.
- CCA’s service fee: 6.75% on the first $100, 4% from $100 to $500, 3% from $500 to $2,500, 2% from $2,500 to $7,500 and 1.5% above that. Each rate applies only to the part of the price inside its bracket, so there is no jump at a bracket edge.
Here is what that looks like at today’s rates. The payout is a range because buyers pay a flat shipping charge, and the real cost of an insured label (plus eBay’s fee on shipping and sales tax) is settled against your payout once the card ships.

Why consign Pokémon and sports cards with CCA
- Grade and sell in one step. No second trip through the mail. A raw card can go from your submission to a live eBay listing without leaving our facility.
- You stay in control. You choose auction or Buy It Now, set every price, and decide on offers. You can change prices or withdraw a card before it lists, and change or withdraw an unsold Buy It Now listing afterward.
- Buyers can verify every card. Each listing links to a public CCA certificate with the grade, sub-grades and high-resolution scans of that exact slab, which builds buyer confidence.
- Transparent fees. The commission is published, tiered, and shown per card before anything lists. No flat 20% on a $2,000 card.
- Your card is covered while we have it. CCA covers your card while it is in our care and on every shipment we arrange, up to its covered value of $2,500 per card unless agreed in writing, as set out in the Consignment Agreement.
- Grading starts at $8 per card. Bulk grading is $8 per card with a 10-card minimum; see all service levels.
Tips to get the most from a consignment
- Price from real comps. Check recent sold listings for the same card and grade. Every card in our card database has a market section with sold-listing links, and our pop report shows how many copies exist at each grade.
- Pick the right format. Buy It Now suits cards with steady demand and a clear market price. Auctions suit sought-after cards where bidders set the price, and should always start at the lowest price you would accept.
- Consider grading before selling. A graded, verifiable card is easier to sell online than a raw one, and a high grade on a desirable card can make a meaningful difference. Low-value cards may not justify grading on their own, which is why bulk grading exists.
- Bundle your submission. Consigning several cards from one grading order saves separate shipping and lets you list your whole run at once.
Frequently asked questions
Can I consign Pokémon cards and sports cards?
Yes. CCA consigns CCA-graded Pokémon and other trading card game cards as well as sports cards, including baseball, basketball, football and UFC.
Do my cards have to be graded to consign?
Yes, consignment is for CCA-graded cards. If your cards are raw, turn on “Sell with CCA” when you submit them for grading and we will list them after they are graded, paid and revealed.
How much does CCA charge to consign a card?
The commission is eBay’s selling fee on the card plus CCA’s tiered service fee. At today’s rates that works out to about 20% on a $100 card, falling to about 17% at $1,000 and lower above that. The shipping difference is settled against your payout.
Where are my cards sold?
On eBay, and every consigned card is also shown on the CCA Marketplace, which links buyers through to the eBay listing.
When do I get paid?
After the buyer’s payment clears and the card is delivered, via your preferred payout method. Every sale and payout is itemized on your dashboard.
Can I set a minimum price?
Yes. Buy It Now listings sell only at your price or an offer you accept. For auctions, set the starting price at your minimum, because an auction sells to the highest bidder at the close.
What if my card is lost or damaged?
CCA covers your card while it is in our care and on every shipment we arrange, up to its covered value (your listing price, or the sale price once sold) with a $2,500 per card cap unless agreed in writing. Shipping you arrange to us is at your risk until we sign the card in, so always use tracking and insurance.
